I’m the ICT Desktop Support Team Lead at a local council. I’ve worked in IT for over 30 years, starting out in education during the 1990s, where I developed a strong foundation in desktop support, networking and server administration. Those experiences have shaped the practical, customer-focused approach I bring to my role today.

After a short period working in the tourism sector, I returned to public service and now lead a team of 12 ICT Desktop Support Officers. Together, we provide technical support, resolve incidents and manage service requests, helping to keep the council’s hardware, software and ICT services running smoothly for staff across the organisation.

I believe in taking a proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering a high standard of customer service. As a team leader, I focus on clear processes, continuous improvement and supporting my team’s development through training, coaching and knowledge sharing. Creating an environment where people can learn and grow is important to me, and I take pride in helping both my team and the wider organisation succeed.
